On Wednesday, Toyota Kirloskar Motor announced that its April wholesale sales climbed by 32% year over year to 20,494 units. In April 2023, the carmaker sent 15,510 units to its dealers.
In spite of a week-long maintenance closure that began on April 6 to maintain machinery and equipment in order to maintain operating efficiencies, productivity, and safety, the company claimed in a statement that growth momentum was maintained.
The company reported last month that 1,794 units were exported and 18,700 units were sold domestically.
"Our product strategy resonates the strong connect with the market thanks to the diversified portfolio," stated Sabari Manohar, vice president of sales, service, and used car business at Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
