L&T Construction announces significant order wins

21 Mar 2024 , 05:46 PM

Larsen & Toubro's Construction division has received orders for its Water & Effluent Treatment and Buildings & Factories businesses.

The Drinking Water & Sanitation Department of the Government of Jharkhand has placed a repeated order with L&T Construction's Water & Effluent Treatment Business. The order involves the implementation of a complete Raw Water Transport System from the proposed intake location at Neghra, Rajmahal situated in Sahibganj district to Sundar Dam in Godda district.

The project will provide bulk raw water to villages in the Jharkhand districts of Sahibganj, Godda, and Dumka.

L&T has successfully completed both the Sahibganj and Dhanbad water supply projects for a single client, which serves to reaffirm L&T's expertise in the water supply industry and strengthen the client's confidence in company’s capabilities, stated the company in its press release.

The total scope of work includes a 209 MLD intake system, a raw water main system consisting of 87 km of MS pipeline and 30 km of DI pipeline, six ground level service reservoirs with a total capacity of 163 ML, and five pumping stations, as well as associated electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and automation works, as well as operation and maintenance.

Further, company’s Building & Factories Business has bagged an order from a reputable developer to construct residential towers in Bengaluru.

The project entails creating the design and constructing the civil structures, which includes waterproofing, masonry, and plastering for 10 towers. These towers will have two basements, a ground floor, and varying configurations of 26, 31, and 32 floors. The project has strict deadlines that must be met.
