Rajaram Narayanan appointed as MD -; CEO of Sequent Scientific

Sequent Scientific on Friday has announced the appointment of Mr. Rajaram Narayanan as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD), succeeding Mr. Manish Gupta who has been its CEO & MD for the past eight years.

The appointment of Mr. Rajaram Narayanan will be effective from April 11, 2022, and shall remain in employment for a minimum of five years from his date of appointment., subject to approval from shareholders.

Talking about experience background, Rajaram has a thriving experience of over 25 years and a strong track record of leading revenue and growth profitability growth across multiple industries including pharmaceuticals. He was previously associated with Sanofi India Limited where he served as the Managing Director and Country Chair for India. At Sanofi, he also led the strategic reorientation of its India business operations, resulting in accelerated growth in key therapies and significant transformation of Sanofi’s market operations.

Rajaram holds a degree in BE (Hons)-Electrical & Electronics from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and he’s MBA from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi, and has completed his Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.

Sequent Scientific Ltd is currently trading at Rs188.50 down by Rs3.4 or 1.77% from its previous closing of Rs191.90 on the BSE.
