In an effort to reduce its carbon footprint, Tata Steel Mining Limited has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GAIL (India) Limited. The agreement pertains to the supply of natural gas to the Ferro Alloys Plant in Athgarh, located in the Cuttack district of Odisha.
The MoU states that GAIL will supply the agreed-upon amount of natural gas via its pipeline from Gujarat to Athgarh.
Pankaj Satija, the MD of Tata Steel Mining, stated upon signing the MoU that their company is dedicated to preserving the environment by utilizing cleaner fuels. He also expressed that partnering with GAIL (India) Limited through this agreement will aid them in continuing their commitment to this objective.
