Reliance Jio stated that key areas of the city will be brought under the telecom firm's 5G service by December of this year, with the construction completed by June 2023.
The corporation will soon begin providing high-speed Internet services in Siliguri, the second city in the state to provide such services after Kolkata.
A top Reliance Jio official stated that the company plans to put out 5G in Siliguri as part of its nationwide deployment of service by December 2023.
The introduction of Airtel's 5G services in Kolkata and Siliguri was previously announced.
Jio has begun offering its services in a few places and is progressively expanding its coverage.
