Adani Energy Solutions names Kunjal Mehta as CFO

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd said on Monday that Kunjal Mehta has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer, effective April 1, 2024. The news comes after current Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Rohit Soni resigned on Monday, Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) announced in an exchange filing.

Kunjal Mehta, who is now the CFO of the Adani Portfolio of Companies, would take over as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (a key managerial people, classified as senior management staff) on April 1, 2024, according to the statement.

Soni will step down as the company’s Chief Financial Officer on March 31, 2024. According to the document, Soni will take up the new post of CFO of Adani New Industries Ltd (ANIL), Adani Enterprises’ green hydrogen unit.

While receiving Soni’s resignation letter, the company’s board accepted Kunjal Mehta’s appointment as the new CFO-designate. Mehta is now the chief financial officer of Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd., Adani Energy Solutions’ distribution business.

This transition is part of a leadership capability development initiative being carried out across the Adani portfolio companies in support of a long-term vision to improve employee engagement, build people capabilities, and create a pool of proficient and committed leaders in a diverse, fair, and respectful workplace,’ AESL stated.
