Ashok Leyland launches e-marketplace for used commercial vehicles

17 Apr 2023 , 01:12 PM

The flagship company of Hinduja Group, Ashok Leyland has announced the launch of an e-marketplace named 'Re-AL' for the used commercial vehicles segment on Saturday. The platform will help customers in exchanging their commercial vehicles for an Ashok Leyland truck or bus, facilitating upgrades.

Shenu Agarwal, CEO and MD of Ashok Leyland said, 'The used commercial vehicle industry is ripe for disruption. Leveraging our digital platform, there are many opportunities for us to provide customer centric solutions.”

'This used vehicle e-marketplace solution marks a significant milestone in our digital transformation journey,' the he added.

As per the statement released by the company, the introduction of this electronic marketplace is intended to bring more clarity to the currently disorganized market for used vehicles. The digital service will provide customers with a variety of features to help them choose the vehicle they want, as well as access to verified documentation.

Sanjeev Kumar, the President of Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles at Ashok Leyland, highlight the importance of the used vehicle business as a key focus area. He stated that this segment provides customers with the opportunity to sell their vehicles at a higher resale value.

'We believe this e-marketplace will help in enhancing the overall customer experience in exchanging their old vehicles for brand new Ashok Leyland trucks and buses,' added Kumar.
