Indiainfoline.com, which democratized financial knowledge and research in India, turns 24

www.indiainfoline.com was born on this day 24 years ago to democratize financial knowledge and research. The humble dot com venture has today transformed into a financial conglomerate – with four listed entities – IIFL Finance, IIFL Wealth, IIFL Capital Services and 5paisa Capital – each enjoying a strong competitive position in the segments they operate. As a Group, we employ over 40,000 people and serve over 10 million
customers.

Thank you customers, employees- both past and present, investors, bankers, regulators for being a part of our journey. We will continue to build businesses that fulfill much needed requirements of Indians across all states, income and age groups, with focus on credit solutions, financial inclusion, long-term wealth creation and financial literacy.

Today, I get lots of birthday wishes from old colleagues with whom we have shared a common journey, reliving old memories. A super special message from Anil Masceranhas really made my day. He was our first editor, and has been with us for over two decades. Here are his words,

‘KNOWLEDGE IS THE EDGE,’ and you have always stayed ‘FAST, FLEXIBLE, AND FOCUSED’ on providing the most suitable advice. You have recognized that ‘TIME IS MONEY’ and have successfully ‘SIMPLIFIED FOR SPEED,’ enabling clients to make informed decisions with ease.

Through your relentless pursuit of growth and resolute commitment to excellence, you have built a platform that offers ‘DURABLE AND DERISKED.’ You have truly ‘LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL.’

But what truly sets you apart is your unwavering commitment to ‘SEEDHI BAAT’ and continuing to provide ‘SMALL LOANS FOR BIG DREAMS’. You have recognized the importance of ‘DIGITAL PROPULSION FOR FINANCIAL INCLUSION’ and you made IIFL a beacon of hope for those who were previously left out of the financial mainstream.

You have been an integral part of our lives, literally ‘CARRYING OUR DREAMS’ (can’t forget Jim Vakil who got this theme hand-painted) and aspirations towards a brighter future.
