TCS introduces ESG Integration Solution on AWS to accelerate sustainable investing; stock gains ~1%

6 Jul 2022 , 12:02 PM

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched its ESG Integration Solution on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform to assist financial institutions in measuring the impact of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors in their investment analysis more easily and accurately.

The solution, which consists of a cloud-native ESG data ingestion platform and a custom ESG scoring model, is integrated with AWS Data Exchange and provides greater transparency and flexibility in aligning investment portfolios with ESG criteria and measuring them against quantifiable and standardized sustainability benchmarks.

TCS’ ESG Integration Solution enables investment managers to quickly and easily obtain non-financial data from leading data sources, including ESG data providers on the AWS Data Exchange, as well as set and track key performance criteria specific to their needs and evolving regulatory requirements.

The solution makes use of AWS analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning services to uncover new insights at the sectoral, regional, and corporate levels, allowing users to build a portfolio of high-performing ESG companies. Asset managers can access the most recent versions of the ESG datasets as a microservice and scale them up or down to meet demand with no additional infrastructure management.

Celent emphasized the TCS ESG Integration Solution’s distinct abilities to sanitize data from leading data providers, provide much-needed transparency across the ESG data rating process, and create a 360-degree view of investment ESG performance.

At around 12.00 PM, TCS was trading at Rs3,246.90 up by Rs30.75 or 0.96% from its previous closing of Rs3,216.15 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs3,216 and has touched day’s high and low of Rs3,249.25 and Rs3,202.40 respectively, so far.
