Vedanta has recorded 5,74,000 tonnes of aluminium production in Q4FY23
Vedanta, a leading mining company, reported a lackluster performance in aluminium production in the fourth quarter of FY23, with a production of 574,000 tonnes.
This was slightly higher than the production of 572,000 tonnes in the same period of the previous year, and only a 1% increase from the production of 566,000 tonnes in Q3FY23.
In Q4, Vedanta reported that there was a decline of 7% Q-o-Q and 18% y-o-y in alumina production at the Lanjigarh refinery, which amounted to 411 kt, due to a planned calciner shutdown.
Vedanta's zinc business in India achieved a new milestone in Q4, with a record quarterly mined metal production of 8.2 lakh tonnes.
At around 1.35 PM, Vedanta was trading at Rs 284.65, up by 0.80% against the previous close of Rs 282.40 on NSE. The counter touched an intraday high and low of Rs 284.85 and Rs 280.40 respectively.
