BCAS fined ₹5 lakh on IndiGo Airlines. The order said that it was passed because of breach of the provision of the Aircraft (Security) Rules, 2023, as mentioned in Rule 51. Violations have also been connected with AVSEC orders on guidelines.
As per a regulatory filing on Friday, IndiGo had acknowledged receiving the BCAS order of November 27, 2024. The airline has maintained that it is considering its appeal to the authority now. It did not indicate what exactly had caused it to be charged.
IndiGo has said that this charge will not affect its operations and financial performance as well as other business activities significantly. This airline continues to implement stringent aviation security rules to keep all passengers safe.
In the National Stock Exchange, shares of Interglobe Aviation Ltd is trading at ₹4401.25 which is a 0.51% gain than the previous close. Interglobe Aviation Ltd stock has gained a total of 56% in the last one year.
