Patel Engineering Ltd (PEL), which is based in Mumbai and involved in infrastructure work, has been awarded a big urban infrastructure job of ₹1,318.89 crore from the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd (CIDCO).
The project for the Kondhane Dam and its allied infrastructure development through advanced Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) technology was awarded to PEL. It was earlier designated as L1 (lowest bidder) for this job prior to receiving the actual work order officially.
The Kondhane Dam project will be undertaken in Village Kondhane, Taluka Karjat, District Raigad of Maharashtra. The entire project period stands at 42 months from the commencement date.
The contract scope involves major civil construction activity, with the dam intended to have a length of 1,209 meters and a height of 83 meters. The project will also incorporate hydro-mechanical and electrical construction including the installation of 3 radial gates, manual and electrical gate operating systems, and other electrification items.

She pointed out that the award underscores PEL’s ability to execute complex infrastructure projects and solidifies its position in nation-building. As infrastructure activity gains pace in India, Patel Engineering feels positive about its upcoming project pipeline and growth path.
