Tata Play Binge solidifies its position as the leading OTT aggregator with addition of Discovery+

OTT aggregation services Tata Play Binge has expanded its portfolio to include Warner Bros. Discovery-owned Discovery+, making it the largest OTT app aggregator, with over 30 local and global apps under one roof.

Discovery+ includes a library of over 8500 hours of programming across 40 disciplines, including nature, science, history, and reality television. The portal includes films like 90 Day Fiance, Man vs. Wild, Top Gear, #IndiaMyWay, Blue Planet, Secrets of the Koh-i-Noor, and India’s Ultimate Warrior.

Pallavi Puri, Tata Play’s Chief Commercial and Content Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the addition of discovery+ to Tata Play Binge, highlighting it as a significant advancement in broadening their content selection. She emphasized the vast array of genres and entertainment options available in various local languages through this partnership. Puri emphasized that this collaboration enables viewers to access a diverse range of captivating stories from Discovery+ conveniently in a single platform.

Ruchir Jain, Head of Distribution & Eurosport, South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery, expressed excitement about the partnership with Tata Play Binge. He stated that this collaboration would provide subscribers in India with smooth access to Discovery+ content, featuring an extensive range of exclusive documentaries, captivating series, and compelling originals.

Tata Play Binge consumers may access content across various platforms with a single subscription and user interface. Furthermore, all Tata Play DTH subscribers can access Netflix as part of a combo plan with DTH channels, while all Tata Play Binge members with a DTH connection can access Amazon Prime Video content as an add-on.
