On Wednesday (October 30), Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd reported a marginal 0.57% increase in profit after tax to ₹211.90 Crore for the first quarter ended September 2024.
The company, which follows the July-June financial year, declared a profit after tax of ₹210.69 Crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd (PGHH) reported a 0.28% decrease in revenue to ₹1,135.16 Crore for the quarter. The figure was ₹1,138.35 Crore a year earlier.
Volume growth in the industry remains moderate. The company saw growth in the feminine care sector and continuing to make progress on strengthening the business’s structural profitability in the quarter, according to a PGHH results release.
In the September quarter, PGHH’s total expense decreased by 1.3% to ₹858.29 Crore. The company operates in the healthcare and feminine care area with brands Vicks and Whisper.
In the September quarter, Proctor & Gamble’s total income (including other income) was ₹1,143.66 Crore, which was somewhat lower than the previous year.
At around closing, Procter & Gamble Hygiene was trading 0.60% lower at ₹166.16, against the previous close of ₹167.17 on NSE. The counter touched an intraday high and low of ₹167.32, and ₹165.96, respectively.
