Power Mech Projects secure orders worth ₹232 Crore from BHEL

Power Mech Projects Ltd's were trading higher on Thursday after obtaining orders worth ₹232 Crore from state-owned BHEL.

According to a stock exchange filing, the business secured three orders for ₹232.03 Crore from the central public sector undertaking (BHEL).

The first order worth ₹122.89 Crore is for the erection of powerhouse units and associated buildings for supply and installation at NTPC, Talcher, in Odisha. The project also comprises the construction of an ash handling facility, tank fabrication, a FGD structure, and other miscellaneous facilities at NTPC.

In addition, the order calls for the construction of a coal handling plant structure at the same location. This project has to be completed within the next 32 months.

The second contract, at ₹52.74 Crore, involves civil and architectural works for the bunker area, powerhouse superstructure, and other sections of Yadadri TPS Unit 4 and 5. This project will be finished within 15 months after the contract's award.

The third order from BHEL is valued ₹56.4 Crore. It comprises the construction of a mechanical framework at PP2, as well as a balanced distribution of Coke among projects. This will occur at Jindal Steel's Angul mill in Odisha. This project will be finished within 14 months.

Power Mech is a dominant player in the industrial construction industry. It offers a variety of services, including civil engineering, industrial services, spare parts management and workshops, international business, and more. While it is based in Hyderabad, it has subsidiaries in Noida, Saudi Arabia, and Nigeria.

At around 11.33 AM, Power Mech was trading 0.72% lower at ₹4,980.20 per piece, against the previous close of ₹5,016.55 on NSE. The counter touched an intraday high and low of ₹5,026 and ₹4,950, respectively.
