This Hybrid Power Plant, comprising of 600 MW Solar and 150 MW Wind plants, was built using cutting-edge technologies. To gather the most energy from the sun, the solar plant incorporates Horizontal Single-Axis Tracker (HSAT) technology and technologically better Bifacial PV modules.
The co-located Hybrid Power Plant will not only minimise RE power intermittency but will also assist the nation in making the most use of its transmission network.
Previously, in May 2022, AGEL completed India’s first hybrid power plant, with a capacity of 390 MW, near Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
With the successful commissioning of this 600 MW facility, AGEL now has a total operational generating capacity of 6.7 GW, including the world’s biggest operating hybrid power generation capacity of 1 GW. This puts AGEL’s overall renewable portfolio of 20.4 GW on track to meet its 2030 capacity target of 45 GW.
This 600 MW hybrid plant is managed by two AGEL subsidiaries: Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer Two Ltd (AHEJ2L) and Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer Three Ltd (AHEJ3L).
