Fire breaks out in Deepak Nitrite's warehouse in Nandesari; stock skids ~3%

Deepak Nitrite Limited informed the investors and exchanges that an incidence of fire around the warehouse section of the Company’s manufacturing site located at Nandesari, District Vadodara, in the State of Gujarat.

The incident occurred on June 2, 2022, at around 6.00 P.M.

Company’s emergency response team, with the support of local authorities and companies around Deepak Nitrite Limited, brought the fire under control within a couple of hours.

There has been no casualty and few people are being given first aid treatment. The Company has kept all concerned authorities informed and the Plant operations are expected to resume in a day or two upon clearance of the damaged warehouse.

The company is still investigating the cause of the fire and is committed to extending all assistance to the relevant authorities investigating into this matter.

Deepak Nitrite is currently trading at Rs1,986.50 down by Rs58.75 or 2.87% from its previous closing of Rs2,045.25 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs1,950 and has touched intraday high and low of Rs2,000 and Rs1,940 respectively.
