Flipkart Partners with Adani Total Gas for Decarbonization and EV Charging Infrastructure

Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) and Flipkart sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support Flipkart’s decarbonization initiatives in its supply chain.

ATGL will assist Flipkart in reducing the carbon footprint in the movement of goods between sourcing locations, warehouses, and customers.

ATGL will provide decarbonizing solutions, including the adoption of cleaner fuel options like natural gas and the introduction of electric vehicles.

Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL), a subsidiary of ATGL, will deploy electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Flipkart’s pan-India supply chain, including warehouses and logistics locationThis collaboration aims to contribute to the decarbonization of the e-commerce logistics segment in India, handling over 8 million shipments per day.

In line with India’s COP 26 commitments and Flipkart’s net-zero goals, the partnership focuses on decarbonizing transportation, a crucial step for sustainability.

Suresh P Manglani, Executive Director & CEO of Adani Total Gas Ltd, emphasizes the commitment to providing clean energy solutions to contribute to India’s climate action goals.

Hemant Badri, Senior Vice President and Head of Supply Chain, Customer Experience & Re-Commerce at Flipkart, highlights the collaboration’s role in achieving net-zero goals and advancing the electrification of Flipkart’s fleet for sustainability.
