Rupee Vs. USD: Indian Rupee opens 22 Paise Higher Against The USD

Indian rupee opened 22 paise higher against the US dollar, attributed to weaker American currency and positive domestic GDP data release. Local currency starts at 82.57 a dollar, improved from the previous 82.79 close. The rupee faced a minor setback previously, closing 6 paise lower at 82.79; and August depreciation at 0.66%.

Sensex and Nifty, Indian benchmark equity indices, show positive pre-opening session trends. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) net sell shares worth Rs 2,973.10 crore; Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) net purchase shares worth Rs 4,382.76 crore on Thursday. Market dynamics highlight contrasting foreign investment patterns.
