Shreehas Tambe appointed MD -; CEO of Biocon Biologics

Shreehas Tambe, the company’s deputy CEO, has been promoted to managing director and CEO of Biocon Biologics.

Arun Chandavarkar, who will remain a non-executive, non-independent director on the company’s board, is replaced by Tambe.

Since joining Biocon in 1997, Tambe has shaped and grown the company’s biosimilars business and led the group’s major capital expenditures, including the construction of its first plant outside of India in Malaysia.
