SRF Faces GST Inspection at Bhiwadi Plant Over Alleged Violations

16 Aug 2023 , 12:07 PM

According to SRF, the GST authorities inspected the Bhiwadi plant because of alleged GST Act violations

The maker of chemicals SRF Ltd reported on Tuesday that the GST department officers searched its facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, on August 14 due to an alleged violation of the GST law.

The company said that the search was carried out by the Office of Additional Commissioner GST, Bhiwadi Zone, Rajasthan in a regulatory filing.

The GST Department conducted a search of the company’s production premises in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, on August 14, 2023, according to the statement.

SRF stated that these will be delivered in due course. The officials in question had looked at some documents and requested further ones about a claim for GST credit.

The Gurugram-based business stated that ‘no impact on the operations or any other activities of the company is expected.’

”Apparent breach of the GST Act, with respect to transaction data on supply of goods, stock in hand, excess claim of ITC, and refund,” according to SRF, was the reason for the search. SRF reported that 4 crore rupees in SGST payments were made in defiance.
