NVIDIA and Tata Group announced their partnership to provide platforms and computational infrastructure for AI development. In accordance with their cooperation, Tata Communications and NVIDIA will create an AI cloud in India with the intention of supplying the necessary infrastructure for the next phase of computing. To create and process generative AI applications, TCS, a different Tata Group entity, will make use of the AI infrastructure and capabilities. TCS will also use the agreement to upskill its 600,000-person workforce.
The next-generation NVIDIA® GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip will be used by Nvidia and Tata Group to create an AI supercomputer.
The CEO and founder of NVIDIA, Jensen Huang, stated that ‘the global generative AI race is in full swing.’ ‘To meet the exploding need for generative AI, data centres all around the world are switching to GPU computing. To accommodate the exponential demand of generative AI companies and the processing of big language models, Tata is expanding its cloud infrastructure service with NVIDIA AI supercomputing, and we are thrilled to cooperate with them on this. said Huang.
According to a statement from Nvidia, this alliance would also spur the AI-led revolution across all Tata Group industries, from manufacturing to consumer businesses.
N. Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons, commented on the partnership with NVIDIA, saying: ‘The developments in AI have made concentration on AI a core concern in governments, industry, and society at large. AI and machine learning will have a significant impact on all businesses and facets of our lives. Through our relationship with NVIDIA, we will democratize access to AI infrastructure, speed up the development of AI solutions, and make it possible to scale up the development of AI talent. There are many prospects for collaboration to further India’s AI vision thanks to the presence of the Tata Group across sectors and NVIDIA’s extensive capabilities.
