Adani Power & Adani Green Energy: The Maharashtra state DISCOM issues a Letter of Intent to the enterprises to supply 6,600 MW of hybrid solar and thermal power. Adani Green will supply 5 GW of solar power from Khavda. Adani Power will offer 1,496 MW of thermal power from its new 1,600 MW ultra-supercritical capacity.
Hindustan Unilever: A case was filed before the Bombay High Court to challenge the Income Tax authorities’ ₹962 Crore tax order. HUL received a ₹962 Crore tax notice for a TDS disagreement in the GSK deal.
Dixon Technologies: Arm Padged Electronics Pvt. Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Asus India Pvt. Ltd. to manufacture information technology goods such as notebooks. The collaboration, which is contingent on the execution of definitive agreements with ASUS or its affiliates, represents a strategic alliance in the information technology sector.
Zydus Life: Company’s unit secures exclusive licensing and supply agreement with US-based Viwit Pharmaceuticals. The arm has struck an agreement for Gadobutrol injection and Gadoterate Meglumine Injection in the United States.
Thermax: The company received a repeat contract for ₹516 Crore from Jindal Energy in Botswana to construct up another 300 MW energy facility.
RPG Life Sciences: On September 13, RPG Life Sciences Ltd said that the board of directors accepted a payment of ₹32.2 Crore for transfer charges connected to an Urban Land Ceiling (ULC) exemption under an amnesty plan.
Max Healthcare: On September 13, Max Healthcare Institute Ltd announced a strategic engagement with Lakshdeep Group to purchase a controlling share in Jaypee Healthcare Ltd (JHL) for ₹1,660 Crore. The collaboration is part of JHL’s corporate insolvency resolution process (CIRP). Max Healthcare will acquire 64% of Jaypee Healthcare Ltd, with options to buy the remaining share.
Godrej Agrovet: On Friday, Temasek Holdings’ V-Sciences Investments sold a 1.4% interest in Godrej Agrovet for around ₹212 Crore in an open market deal. Temasek Holdings is Singapore’s state-owned global investment business.
JSW Energy: JSW Renew Energy Two Limited, the company’s 100% step-down subsidiary, has commissioned 300 MW of wind power capacity as part of the 450 MW ISTS-connected wind power project, granted under Solar Energy Corporation of India’s Tranche X and located in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu.
Interglobe Aviation (IndiGo): IndiGo’s market share increased to 62.4% in August from 62% in July, reversing an 80-basis-point fall in June. After dropping 160 basis points in January 2024, the airline’s market share has steadily improved. IndiGo transported 8.19 million passengers in August.
