Nuvama Wealth: According to sources, Edel Finance Company and Ecap Equities want to sell a 6.4% ownership holding in Nuvama Wealth Management through block agreements. The floor price for the transaction might be fixed at ₹6,455 per share, with a block size of ₹1,464.8 Crore at that price. As of June 2024, Ecap Equities owned 8.44% of Nuvama Wealth Management, while Edel Finance owned 5.18% of the company.
RITES: A RITES collaboration was the lowest bidder for a project worth ₹87.58 Crore from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. The project comprises retrofitting DMRC’s RS-1 trains. RITES’ portion of the order is 49%, or ₹42.91 Crore.
Torrent Pharmaceuticals: The corporation has rejected allegations that its medication, Shelcal 500, failed a CDSCO (Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation) quality test. Torrent asserted that the CDSCO-seized sample was not made by the firm and was therefore non-genuine and spurious. Torrent emphasised that all of its goods follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and are monitored using pre-established specifications and regulatory norms.
Indian Bank: The bank’s board has approved the issuance of further long-term infrastructure bonds worth up to ₹5,000 Crore in one or more tranches during the current or next fiscal year. This funding is in addition to the ₹5,000 Crore the bank has previously raised in fiscal 2025.
Piramal Enterprises: Piramal Capital & Housing Finance has sold its immovable property in Santacruz, Mumbai, for ₹187 Crore to Shoquba Realty.
Systematix Corporate Services: At the company’s Annual General Meeting, shareholde₹authorised a stock split that divided one equity share of ₹10 face value into ten equity shares of ₹1 face value.
Union Bank of India: A combined forum of AIUBEF, AIUBSF, UBSA, and UBIEU, representing customer service associates and office assistants, has suggested a strike on September 27. These unions represent around 7% of the bank’s total employees. However, the majority unions, AIUBOF and AIUBEA, have agreed to end the strike.
RailTel Corporation of India: The Rural Development Department, Mantralaya, Maharashtra, has issued a work order to the corporation to operationalise the ASSK-GP project in the Konkan, Pune, and Nashik regions. The contract is valued at ₹155.72 Crore and is scheduled to be completed on September 25, 2025.
Infosys: The IT services company has established a strategic partnership with Sally cosmetics Holdings Inc., an American multinational speciality cosmetics retailer. Infosys Topaz will provide enterprise-scale IT efficiencies through hyper-automation, resulting in enhanced business value and future-proofing.
InterGlobe Aviation: The board has appointed Isidro Pablo Porqueras Orea as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, beginning November 1, 2024. Porqueras will succeed Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, who is retiring later this year.
Biocon: The biopharmaceutical company has inked a licensing and supply deal with Tabuk Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company, an Astra Industrial Group affiliate, to commercialise its Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) products in select Middle Eastern markets. Tabuk Pharmaceutical is a market leader in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. GLP-1 is used to treat diabetes and control chronic weight.
