Weekly Instanex FII Index down 0.31%

This week, the Instanex FII Index was down 0.31% at 350.41 and the Instanex DII 15 portfolio was up 0.13%. Nifty was down 0.34% and Sensex was down 0.29%. The other Instanex Owner Indexes were mixed — the Instanex Retail 15 portfolio was up 0.28%, the Instanex Top 15 portfolio was down 0.07% and the Instanex Promoter 15 portfolio was down 0.10%. Asian markets were down as well — Shanghai Composite was down 4.18%, Hang Seng was down 2.77% and Taiwan Weighted was down 2.30%.

Of the 20 components of the Instanex FII Index, 15 were up and five were down. The main losers were Jaiprakash Assoc. (-7.90%; weight 2.00%), Bharti Airtel (-6.56%; weight 7.86%) and Jindal Steel & Power (-5.58%; weight 2.91%) and the main losers were HDFC (+8.76%; weight 12.02%) and HDFC Bank (+5.61%; weight 4.94%).
