28 Nov 2024 , 03:24 PM

Sonata Software Ltd, a worldwide IT services and technology solutions company, announced Wednesday (November 27) that it has acquired a multi-million dollar modernization project with a global leader in access solutions.

“This transformation agreement will integrate and standardize the client’s APAC business processes across 13 countries, ensuring seamless operations and real-time engagement with customers, suppliers, distributors, and partners,” Sonata Software stated in a regulatory filing.

As part of this digital transformation, Sonata Software will work with the client to upgrade its Dynamics AX 2012 R3 to cutting-edge D365 finance and supply chain management.

The modernisation will include moving data from outdated systems, building a data platform with over 260 Power BI reports, optimizing advanced warehousing and planning processes, and running test programs in Australia, New Zealand, and China.

Furthermore, an intelligence layer will be integrated into their systems via Microsoft Fabric, accelerating their data-to-decision journey smoothly. This transaction was completed in the first quarter of FY25 and was discussed at the aligned earnings call on July 31, 2024.

Sonata Software’s Chief Revenue Officer, Anthony Lange, stated, Our efforts will focus on automating end-to-end processes, leveraging Microsoft’s comprehensive technology stack to improve scalability and facilitate client adoption.

At around 3.17 PM, Sonata Software was trading 1.25% higher at ₹636.05, against the previous close of ₹628.20 on NSE.
