From October 21, newly established Akasa Air will begin offering flights to the Northeast, including stops in Agartala (Tripura) and Guwahati (Assam).
The airline will connect Bengaluru with the two northeastern locations as part of this expansion, making them it is seventh and eighth, respectively.
However, these additional flights will offer smooth one-stop connectivity between Bengaluru and Agartala without the need for an aircraft change at Guwahati.
Beginning on August 7 of this year, the airline began offering its services on domestic routes.
To improve connectivity in existing sectors, the airline has also announced additional daily flights on the Bengaluru-Chennai route beginning on October 21.
The increased air connectivity will boost the enormous potential of the region’s aviation, industrial, and tourism prospects, according to Praveen Iyer, co-founder, and chief commercial officer of Akasa Air. Guwahati, the gateway to Assam, and Agartala are among the fastest-growing cities in the area.
