Tata Group was ranked 20th in Boston Consulting Group’s survey of the world’s 50 most innovative companies. The Tatas were the only Indian firm to make the BCG Most Innovative Companies 2023 list, which was released on Wednesday.
BCG’s list ranks companies based on criteria such as superior performance, greater resilience to shocks and disruptions, and the ability to capitalise on innovation faster for value-creating growth, among others.
According to Boston Consulting Group, the list looks at what ‘innovation-ready leaders are doing to stay ahead of competitors, and how innovation is boosting their resilience to economic uncertainty and fueling their pursuit of lower emissions.’
Under its ‘Greennovation – Make Tomorrow Green’ initiative, Tata Group aims to achieve various innovations to facilitate net-zero emission by 2045, paving the way for a ‘circular economy through sharing, recycling and reusing; and preserve and restore nature and biodiversity.’
The BCG report focused on the growing importance of AI in key areas of business, taking a close look at how early adopters are realising AI’s potential. It delved into the critical role of AI-related practises in today’s innovation scene.
